I played this game a lot on the PS2 as a kid (I still have it to this day), and it was incredibly fun. This remaster is remarkable, and works very well! I did encounter a few glitches here and there, like repeating sound effects, but those bugs were fixed rather quickly by the developers. Although it's a little short, and I beat it in only a few days, I still definitely recommend anyone to play this. If you like Zelda, and Egyption Mythology interests you, play this now. It is very much worth the 15 dollars!. Definitely a pretty good remaster of a sadly-overlooked game from 2003. Swyter-- the sole person responsible for developing this remaster at the time of writing, as far as I know, which is impressive-- often updates the game and regularly interacts with the community, and it has mod support courtesy of the tools used to make the original game (that's the free Authoring Tools DLC)!Give this a shot if you like games similar to Zelda, enjoy some brain-teasing puzzles, and/or want to mess around with things. And be sure to spread the word if you like it-- it shouldn't be ignored a second time. I do recommend a controller, though; there's no keyboard remapping right now.. I owned this game back in the day on the original Xbox. It was one of my favorite games back then, so when I saw that it was suddenly on steam, I just HAD to get it. Think Legend of Zelda meets ancient Egypt. You play as two different characters - a classic swordsman/adventurer achetype and the mummified remains of King Tut - and explore a vast world, slaying monsters, completing platforming dungeons, solving puzzles, and mingling with various Egyptian Gods. After playing through it all again, it's just as fun as I remember and looks great in HD for a game that's over a decade old.. An absolute platforming treasure. If you like platformers youll love it.. This is a good port and the gameplay and humor still hold up despite the game being over 10 years old at this point.Playing as sphinx the gameplay clearly takes alot from The Legend of Zelda but the puzzle sections where you play as the mummy are in my opinion where the the game really shines. Despite the puzzle sections being platforming the puzzle and the solutions are very creative and fun to play even on a second or third run through the game.. Never thought I'd see this game again, though I had long hoped.It's really great and of the "buddy game" variety of yore; like Jak & Daxter meets Zelda, only the Mummy and Sphinx aren't playable at the same time. Lots of good puzzles, humor, setting, music, etc.I do wish they'd opted for voice acting, though and I hope the devs improve some aspects of the game like hit detection on ziplines or the camera. The game also uses a save-point system that was antiquated even back in '03. I also wish that for the Sphinx parts of the game, they had just ripped off Ocarina of Time's lock-on system as combat is kind of unwieldy.I also see they released a modkit for the game via proprietary Eurocom software, so I can't wait to see what new stuff the community will create for the game — I think this may be the first, or at least one of the very few, console games that has had official mod tools released for it when they could've easily gone the DLC route.Recommended.. Liked it but cannot recomend it. Control setup is all screwed up and the camera is terrible. Good graphics and story but the rest...cannot recomend it.. One of my favourite original Xbox games. Was really happy to find out that they ported it to PC! It's a 3D platformer game with some fighting and puzzle solving, and a great charming story. Fantastic soundtrack and environments. The port itself is perfect, 60 fps, no glitches at all. And ultrawide support too <3. love this game, can't believe it has been out for pc for a couple of years and I never spotted it! been waiting for that sequel for years now, maybe if people buy this it will encourage them to bring one out, absolutely worthwhile purchase, amazing game hours and hours of fun
